Position: Wagon Repair Technician (Railway Maintenance and Repair)

We are seeking skilled and hardworking individuals aged 18 to 45 to join a wagon repair team in Slovakia. The role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing railway wagons to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.


Salary:

  • 1,100–1,400 EUR/month (net), with additional pay for overtime and bonuses for exceptional performance.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time, 8-hour shifts.
  • Rotational shifts may include weekends, depending on workload.
  • Breaks include 20 minutes for lunch and two 10-minute pauses.

Vacation:

  • 20 paid vacation days annually.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical and structural issues in railway wagons.
  • Repair or replace damaged components such as brakes, wheels, and couplings.
  • Perform welding, painting, and other technical maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards during all repairs.
  • Document work completed and report any unresolved issues to the supervisor.

Working Conditions:

  • Work both indoors (repair workshops) and outdoors (rail yards).
  • Physical labor involving tools and heavy equipment.
  • Safety gear and uniforms provided by the employer.

Requirements:

  • Age: 18–45.
  • Previous experience in mechanical repair or a similar field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and welding techniques.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Basic English or Slovak language skills (preferred).
